Obituary
On March 31, 2022, Mr. Fred Richardson of Okotoks passed away at the age of 81 years. An avid outdoorsman, skier, mountain-climber, hiker, mountain-biker, hunter, fisherman, artist & carpenter, as his son says, Fred was an all-around renaissance man. He is survived by his 2 sons, Darren (Sharon) of St. Paul & Darcy of Fernie, BC; sister, Kathleen (Paul); sister-in-law, Diane; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Beryl; parents, Dan & Agnes; brother, Bob; & daughter in infancy, Tammy-Lynn. Cremation has taken place, with inurnment in Calgary at a later date. We saw Fred’s obituary in the Western Wheel here in Okotoks this week and were saddened to see Fred had passed away. We send our sincere condolences to all the family. We sat in the common room and reminisced about Beryl and Fred’s time at Sheep River House. Those in the common room are Linda, Lorraine and Justine. Fred’s birch tree grove painting still hangs in the common room. Sorry, I couldn’t find the picture I thought I had. They were my next door neighbour while here. Sincerely Linda and the Sheep River House residents that remember Fred and Beryl.
