Obituary
On March 31, 2022, Mr. Fred Richardson of Okotoks passed away at the age of 81 years. An avid outdoorsman, skier, mountain-climber, hiker, mountain-biker, hunter, fisherman, artist & carpenter, as his son says, Fred was an all-around renaissance man. He is survived by his 2 sons, Darren (Sharon) of St. Paul & Darcy of Fernie, BC; sister, Kathleen (Paul); sister-in-law, Diane; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Beryl; parents, Dan & Agnes; brother, Bob; & daughter in infancy, Tammy-Lynn. Cremation has taken place, with inurnment in Calgary at a later date. Hi Darren and Darcy,
Along time ago your parents ran a daycare in Okotoks and I attended that daycare as a child. Your parents were a big deal in my life as a child and I can also remember the both of you. Being a little kid I was always thrilled whenever you were willing to play cause you were “big” kids. I’m so sorry for your dad’s passing he was a very kind man. I just know that he and your mom are now reunited and both are with you always. Take care. Stephanie.

I got to know Fred in Turner Valley and always enjoyed our conversations and time together. Fred did a lot things very well and one of my fondest members of Fred is a painting he painted which we bought and display proudly in our home. Our prayers and thoughts are with Fred’s family at this time.
