Obituary
On May 20, 2016, Mr. Vernon McGilvery of Edmonton, formerly of Saddle Lake, passed away at the age of 51 years. He is survived by his son, Skylar McGilvery; twin daughters, Kaitlin Whitford (Brandan Moses) & Chantel Whitford (Evan Steinhubl); 5 grandchildren, Lacey, Acely & Drey Singer, Aeva Whitford & Malaya Steinhubl; siblings, Norris, Louie (Betty), John (Beatrice), Margret (Doug Adams), William, Pearl (Brady Chinn), Eileen Omeasoo (Vern Reid), Sylvia, Shirley, Julienne (Fred Crane) & Leona (Peter Cardinal); numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edmond & Agnes McGilvery; sister, Caroline Badger; 3 brothers, Floyd, Cleophas & Leonard. A Wake will be held on Saturday & Sunday, May 28 & 29 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake (leaving Grace Gardens Saturday at 3:00 p.m.). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
