Dennis and Linda and the rest of your families,

I am so sorry for the loss of your very dear dad ,grandfather and great grandfather, Mr. Steve Brodyk. Fred told me about it earlier this week and I am sorry I couldn’t make it out to his funeral. I will never forget that he is the one that actually found our place in Smoky Lake for us and I will never forget the first experience he gave me in an emergency cow birth, right after a beautiful homemade dinner that your mother had served us. I am relieved to hear that he passed away peacefully in his sleep and I know he will be forever joined with your beautiful mother and his wife, Rosie. He will be remembered in my heart as a kind and hard working gentle man. Fred and I will have to plant a special tree on our place in his memory.

Love Darlene Konash and Fred
