Raymond JEFFERY

December 3, 1962 - June 9, 2021

Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Vincent Jeffery on June 9, 2021 at the age of 58 years. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Bobbie; 2 sons & 1 daughter, Scott (Justine), Steven (Karla) & Baylee (Brett); 5 grandchildren, Khloe, Skarlett, Nash, Nova, Revy, and baby girl on the way; brother, Randy (Patty); sister, Joanne (Bryan); numerous nieces & nephews. Raymond was predeceased by his newborn son, Jake Jeffery; & his parents, Clifford and Maureen Jeffery.

Raymond worked the last few years with CNRL, and prior to that he worked for many years in the trucking industry. He loved his Edmonton Oilers, ice-fishing, and spent many a weekend at Castrol Raceway as he was an avid fan of racing. His friends fondly referred to him as “Jake”. He also loved the outdoors, spending his time with family. A constant stream of 630 CHED was always playing and he was known to always be cooking and experimenting with new recipes for his family and grandbabies to try. Raymond was an amazing handyman and his woodworking projects grace many of our family’s homes. Raymond will be missed dearly by his family & friends.

A Private Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul with Reverend Duane Grant officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by Livestream on Tuesday, June 15 at 1:00 p.m. by clicking the Live Service tab above. A recording of the service will also be made available. To send condolences online, please visit www.gracegardensfuneralchapel.com.

Bobby, Steven, Scott and Bailey, thank you for making it possible today to be with you and the family, as you celebrate Raymond. We are so very sorry for your loss. We love you all and wish you strength as you each find your way to move forward. Listening to the stories today and remembering the times I interacted with Raymond at family functions, I am so reminded of his kindness. You can see that kindness shine through and live on in each of the kids and grandkids. Scott & Bailey, your words and tribute to your Dad was beautiful, as was yours Steven – especially, your “honesty” brought some levity and was wonderful. Heather, you did such a great job today, and you were truly a friend to Raymond, especially today. Thinking of you all today. xoxo. Kimmy & Dan

Raymond was one of the first people that I met when our family moved to Ashmont…he had great sense of humor and was always quick to lend a helping hand to a neighbor or the “new kid in town”.
Rest In Peace Ray…you’ll be missed by many.
