Obituary
On March 30, 2014, Mr. Randy Lewis Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 49 years. He is survived by 2 sons & 4 daughters, Nelson (Lana) Saddleback of Wetaskiwin, Nicole Cardinal, Melissa (Randall Stamp) Cardinal, Jeffrey Cardinal, Jamie Cardinal & Alexis (Brett Stamp) Cardinal, all of Edmonton; 15 grandchildren; loving parents, Mary & James Cardinal of Saddle Lake; 5 brothers & 6 sisters, Sharon Cardinal, Karen Johnson, Cathy (James Steinhauer) Cardinal, Gail Large, Sheila (Wilfred) Cardinal, Glen (Tammy) Cardinal, all of Saddle Lake, Sheryl Cardinal of Goodfish Lake, Dean (Jessie Redcrow) Cardinal of Edmonton, Darcy Cardinal, Chris (Sherrie) Cardinal & James Jr. (Tanya Youngpine) Cardinal, all of Saddle Lake; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins; aunties, Angelique Halfe & Catherine Wahsatnow & special cousins Eva Cardinal & Daisy Large. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Johnny & Madeleine Pasquayak; paternal grandparents, Norris & Isabelle Cardinal; numerous infants; nephew, Ashton “Dido” Large. A Wake will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, April 2 & 3 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Funeral Service on Friday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. My heart is heavy right at this moment. Last time I really spoke with Randy was a couple years ago right before Saddle Lake Powwow. He told me, Leona, I feel I am not going to live to see this powwow and that was a couple years ago. I had my hopes up he would survive whatever came his way. We will all miss Randy and moreso his own family, so I send you all my love and heart felt condolences.
