On March 1, 2024, Peter (Cimīstō) Dion of Kehewin, Alberta passed away at the age of 68 years. He is survived by 2 daughters, Yvonne (Steven) Stanley Quinney & Serena Stanley; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel (Ron) Desjarlais; 2 brothers, Louie Cardinal & Henry (Mildred) Cardinal; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews & other relatives. Peter was predeceased by his wife, Esther Stanley; stepson, Jefferey; grandson, Free Spirit; father, Billy “Benny” Dion; mother, Bella Dion; paternal grandparents, Billy & Sarah Dion; maternal grandparents, Edward & Maggie Cardinal; brothers, Ernest & Gerald Dion; sister, Brenda Dion; nephews, Denny Dion, Leslie Makokis & Jordan Dion; nieces, April Quinney & Isabelle Dion. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, March 6 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) at Mannawanis Friendship Centre, St. Paul. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Mannawanis Friendship Centre, St. Paul, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
