Obituary

On November 24, 2019, Mrs. Peggy Cole of Owlseye passed away at the age of 99 years. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Shirley (Jim), Cheryl (Louis) & Shelly (Charles); 2 sons, Hugh & Don (Norma); 5 grandchildren, Jimmy, Warren (Michelle), Lori, Raeann & Mikayla; 3 great-grandchildren, Shaeli, Caden & Trenton; & sister, Grace. Mrs. Cole was predeceased by her husband, Earl; grandson, Joshua; granddaughter, Christine; brother, Bill; 4 sisters, Eleanor, Gert, Toot & Edna. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Willow Grove Cemetery, Owlseye (leaving Grace Gardens at 10:30 a.m.). Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating with a Celebration of Peggy’s Life to follow at St. Paul Seniors Centre, St. Paul. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank the staff at Extendicare for taking care of Peggy the last 6 years. A special thank you to the hospital nurses & Dr. Harmse for making her last few days as comfortable as possible. When all of us were children, the Cole farm was always a wonderful place to visit. As we grew older, Peggy and Earl continued to make everyone feel at home and very welcome. I have the fondest memories of the talking and bantering amongst the family around her kitchen table.
