Obituary
It is with sadness we announce that our wonderful mother and grandmother has passed away. She will be remembered by her children, Jim (Suzanne) of Vancouver, B.C., Roberta (Nick) Wynnyk of Edmonton & Gail Fryeskul of Vancouver, B.C.; 3 grandchildren, Darren (Nicole), Jaclyn (Chad) & Brett; brother, Steve Korchinsky of Edmonton; sisters-in-law, Adeline Korchinsky of Edmonton & Mary Tartaglio of Burnaby, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband, John in June 2006; parents, William & Stephania Korchinsky; brother, Tom; sister-in-law, Kathleen Korchinsky. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Vilna Cultural Centre, Vilna. Reverend Father Bennie Ambrosie will be officiating with interment in St. Paraskevia Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Downing. My sympathy to all of you for your loss. Olga was such a warm, kind, thoughtful lady with a beautiful smile and a wonderful laugh. I had many opportunities to chat with her over the last 40 some years but when I joined the Seniors group 7 years ago I got to enjoy her company more often. Olga was always ready to join any activity from helping in the kitchen, making cabbage rolls to organizing a team for a whist tournament.. Whenever I planned a bus trip for our seniors she was one of the first to sign up, no matter where we were going or what we were doing. She added so much to those trips. She made sure her enjoyment and appreciation was evident. And of course her love of a good joke- whether she was enjoying yours or telling her own , her enjoyment was the same. I have been blessed to have known her. As much as we could tell she wasn’t feeling the best, she was determined to smile. I will always treasure the memory of her smiles, laughter and kindness.
