To Mel’s family;
It is with great sadness we read of Mel’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Mel at Alberta Transportation from 1982 to approximately 1994. We continued to stay in touch over the years. He was an exceptional man to work with as well as a good friend. A special memory comes to mind. When Mel called the house he would say to my wife, Where is the boy, is he home? His knowledge was vast and he was willing to share it with all of us who worked with him. He will be truly missed.

Relation: cousin

My sincere condolences. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time. May God grant you strength, peace and comfort in the days ahead. May he rest in peace.

From: Dolores Gilbertson
Relation: 2nd cousin.

I remember long time past memories with Melvin. Especially, at the first Labrie Reunion in St. Edouard and his great playing of the guitar while his Dad played the violin. Sincere condolences to all his family left to mourn his passing.
