Obituary
On August 30, 2016, Mr. Leon Gilbert “Larouge” Moosewah of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 54 years. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Megan Morin, Melissa (Blaine) Morin both of Edmonton & Ivory Moosewah of Saddle Lake; 2 sons, Briar (Marcia) Moosewah of Edmonton & Carter Cardinal of Saddle Lake; 4 grandchildren, Kieren, Theoren, Mikwan & Estelle; siblings, Delia Brertton, Margaret Moosewah, Mike (Bella) Moosewah, Eva (Dennis) Cardinal, Cora Houle, Linda Makokis, Cindy McGilvery, Gerald (Betty) Moosewah, Vince Moosewah & Garry Moosewah; kokum, Theresa Patenaude; aunties, Eva (Jim) L’Hirondelle, Angela Halfe & Mary (James) Cardinal; Uncle, Louie (Gloria) Moosewah; numerous nieces & nephews; Patayakan Family from Onion Lake. He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Tracy Moosewah; parents, Joseph & Maggie Moosewah; brothers, Victor, Dennis & Harold; sisters, Rita Quinney, Christine Moosewah & Denise Brighteyes; brothers-in-law, George Brertton, Glen Houle, Darryl Cardinal & Austin Quinney; adopted father, Frank Mason; kokum, Agatha Blood. A Wake will be held on Sunday & Monday, September 4 & 5 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake (leaving Grace Gardens at 4 p.m.). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
