On August 8, 2014, Mrs. Lena Karpyshyn of Spedden passed away at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Harry; 3 sons, Ernie of Spedden, Tony (Shirley) of Edmonton & Terry (Donna) of Spedden; 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Leanne), Kimberly, Serena, Kellie (Charlie) & Tim; 5 great-grandchildren, Marcus, James, Kyle, Hayley & Karley; 1 brother & 3 sisters, Stanley (Sandy), Sophie (Chuck) Baldwin, Nettie (Clayton) Bork & Eleanor (Ernie) Tulick; 2 sisters-in-law, Jean Tchir & Carol Hrabak; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Zacharko & Bessie Tchir; son, Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Carol; sisters, Mary Machura & Annie Kostiuk; brothers, Fred, Bill, Mike & Eddy. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Don Bodnar officiating, with interment in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Spedden.
