On January 1, 2017, Mrs. Katherine “Katie” Brodziak of St. Paul passed away suddenly at the age of 88 years She is survived by 2 daughters & 1 son, Marlene (Orest) Krokosh, Carolyn Barr (Don Robinson) & Glen (Joni) Brodziak; daughter-in-law, Marielle Brodziak (Brian Soldan); 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Johnny (Liz) Shepert, Frank (Verna) Shepert, Tony Shepert & Ernie (Linda) Shepert; 6 sisters, Sophie Brodziak, Jennie Kotyk, Mary Mahdiuk, Elsie Shepert, Irene (Doug) Harlton & Ann (Otto) Bietel; 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Shepert & Simone Shepert; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1991; son, Dale in 1998; parents, Peter & Mary Shepert; 3 brothers, Alex, Mike & Pete Shepert; & son-in-law, Lorie Barr. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Mark Sych will be officiating, with interment in Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, St. Paul.
