Obituary
On December 13, 2019, Mr. Joseph Sakowsky of Elk Point, formerly of Derwent, passed away at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Sakowski of St. Paul; brother, Ken (Annette) Sakowsky of Elk Point; nieces & nephews, Debbie, Diana, Darrell (Ava), Kyle (Brandi), Tessa & Krisean (Aaron); great-nieces & nephews, Chayse, Linkoln, Trystn, Jadyn, Tor, Aksel, Jason & Jarrett. Mr. Sakowsky was predeceased by his parents, John & Annie Sakowsky; sister, Olga (John) Tulodziecki. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 20 at 11:30 a.m. at Elk Point Seniors Centre (Pioneer Circle), Elk Point. Cheryl Lumley & Deanna Reynolds will be officiating, with interment in St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Derwent. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) or AHS – Parkview Extended Care c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
