On June 22, 2020, Mrs. Joanne Fontaine of St. Paul passed away at the age of 68 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Maurice; 2 daughters, Lise (James) Morton & Ginette Chopek (David Wiebe); son, Gerald (Janet) Fontaine; 10 grandchildren, Karla (Danny) Rice, Gregory (Natalie), Nevaeh, Annalise, Cassidy, Serena, Courtney, Grace, Jackson & Jillian; 4 great-grandchildren, Ella, Bria, Easton & Paisley; 3 sisters & 3 brothers, Henriette (Tom) Warawa, Yvonne (Ed) Starosta, Gille (Mary) Strasbourg, Colette (Doug) Brodt, Real (Cyndi) Strasbourg & Dan Strasbourg; numerous nieces & nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her mother, Estelle Strasbourg. Since her passing, Joanne’s father, Yvon Strasbourg has passed away and she has a new great-grandchild, Roch. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul with Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier as the celebrant.
