From: Claire J. Simmons ( Doucet)
Relation: My best friend for 83 years. My second adopted family.

Jeannette was my friend since 1948. We went to school together. We spent doing many activities over the years.. I often went to Jeannette ‘s home for lunch on Friday during school week. Mrs. Ozga spoke to me in Polish and French and Ukranian. I love it. I learnt to understand many customs as well. We did many trips in my volkswagen after I started teaching.. We also worked together at the Drive in theatre. We had great times there with the staff and the local people. Although my career took me away from St. Paul WE remained friend for all these years. Jeannette was part of my wedding party in 1967 in Wetaskiwin, AB She was a great friend. She was generous, kind, and much more. I will miss our get together at Timmy’s in St Paul. She has gone to a better place. May the Lord grant her peace and joy. She lived a life of service and friendship to many..

From: Michel, Guy and Denis Lavoie and families
Relation: Adopted Aunty

Jeannette was a very special lady in our lives. She was very generous, kind, and full of fun, always making sure that we had enough to eat and drink. She loved her cats and going to bingos. I am sure she will be in heaven with our Good Lord, along with her Mom and Dad (Baba and Gedo Ozga), her brother (Uncle Claude), her Uncle Steve from San Francisco, our parents Victor and Anne Lavoie, and our sister Mona Lavoie-Savill, sitting around a table, laughing, eating, and drinking and having fun. GOD rest your soul, Jeannette.

Relation: Friend

I got to know Jeannette, a little, in her later years. She certainly enjoyed playing bingo. I remember her smiling, happy greetings whenever we met. She presented a positive attitude to life. May your soul rest in a happy place.

Jeanette was a good friend who would take me to bingo. I too love cats and would feed the outdoor ones as well. Jeanette was a kind, generous person who would always have a smile for others. Will miss you very much. Donna
