On August 14, 2014, Ms. Jean Marie Hicks of St. Paul passed away at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Mary), Linda Marie & Russell; stepchildren, Laurence, Wayne & Colin; grandchildren, Brent (Virginia), Patty (James), Wade, Oralee (Brad), Dean (Kristen), Courtney, Heather, Derek (Kim), Samantha, Drake, Dusty (Brandon), Ashley, Mitchell & Jenna; great-grandchildren, Ashton (Rhys), Justin, Paige, twins Sophia & Logan, Derek Jr., Syanne, Mateo, Kaslin, Andre, Andrew, Catriona, Rebecca, Draycen, Haylie & Logan; great-great-grandchild, Peyton Pugh. Ms. Hicks was predeceased by her parents, Andrew & Mary Armour; son, Douglas Hicks; step-daughter, Carolyn McKenzie; brothers, Andy Armour & Jimmy Armour; sister, Sarah Commision; & her special friend, Charles McKenzie. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Cremation has taken place. Marie, Russell and family, so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a positive influence on so many people. I wondered some times if you felt a bit cheated because she was like another mother to so many people. Thanks for sharing her with us. I will forever remember her kindness, generosity and her zest for life. I had always hoped we could reconnect at some point, but I guess it wasn’t to be.
