On March 8, 2018, Mrs. Hélène Marie Gratton of Therien passed away at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her children, Alexandrine (Gary) Power, Lia (Suzanne) Azhure, Laurette (Steve) Aves, Pierre, Claire, Noël, Paulette Crawford, Paul, Micheal, Joe, Claude, Claudette, Claudine, Jules (Gail) & Jean; grandchildren, Lauriette & Sarah Aves, Jason (Peggy) Ejzenbart, Cassandra Scheideman, Danielle, Christy & Jessie Gratton; great-grandson, William Ejzenbart; siblings, Regis (Carmel) Bouchard, Jeanine (Zoel) Mercier & Noella (Don) McDonald; brother-in-law, Fred Davis. Hélène was predeceased by her parents, Paul & Cécilia Bouchard; granddaughters, Lindsay & Stephanie Power, & Catherine Scheideman; sisters, Rose-Marie (Armand) Vallée & Deline Davis; son-in-law, Brian Crawford; former husband, Leonard Gratton. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul, with Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier as celebrant. Cremation to follow. Brad and I are so very saddened to hear that Aunty Helene has passed. We remember Aunty as one of the sweetest, caring, yet strongest ladies we knew and always with a smile on her face. I’ll always cherish my memories of your mom welcoming one more mouth to feed out on the farm when I was lucky enough to join your family for a day or two. We wish we could be there to say goodbye in person and to share in celebrating her life with each of you.
