It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mother and Grandma, Hazel Florence Beamont on September 22, 2013 at the age of 87.  Hazel was born in Edmonton on October 06, 1925, she moved to Calgary in 1949 and was employed as a dental assistant for almost 40 years.  The majority of her career was spent working for a fantastic boss and friend, Dr. Bob Huether.  Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Diana Cowan (Brian), Holly Renton (Ian) and her five grandchildren, Tobi (Brad), Stacy (Eli), Andy (Starlee), Jamie, Nick (Robyn) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Hazel was predeceased by her angelic sister, Alberta, her ex-husband Cecil, their infant son Thomas, her father Ralph, her mother Anna and her wonderful step-mother Ivy Jean.  We will miss “Hazer’s” fiery spirit, her humor and her wit; she was truly special.  If there are slot machines in heaven, Hazer is sure to be on a winning streak.
