Obituary
On November 13, 2013, Mrs. Evelyn Nakonechny of Glendon passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her son, Tim of Glendon; 6 daughters, Carole (Tim) Hulme of Alberta Beach, Mary (Paul) Turenne of Westlock, Joanne (Merv) Rose of Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, Jean (Greg) Lusk of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, June Austin of Vancouver, British Columbia & Verna (Ed) Landry of St. Albert; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Herbert & Elizabeth McNally; siblings, Jean Zabirka, Charles McNally & Frank McNally. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendon Seniors Centre, Glendon. Pastor Terry Luciow & Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating, with interment in Arcadia Lutheran Cemetery, Glendon. Relation: Relationship - How did you know the deceased?
She was always Mrs. N. to us or Granny to the kids. I will miss my Neighborhood Mom. There are so many memories of our “Road”. If we weren’t at our house we were either at Masluk’s or Nakonechny’s with our bikes. I loved her laugh and her kindness. Most of all I got a kick out of the three moms being the original BFF’s. Not a day went by that they did not call each other at a certain time in the morning and you got to know not to phone at that time of day because you could not get through. Mom and Vera are going to miss her alot. They were such good friends. They always had time for a Scrabble game or two. Thoughts and prayers to all of you…..Love from the Campbell’s
