Obituary
On May 26, 2020, Mr. Ernest Poitras of Elk Point passed away at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Marie; daughter, Colette; son, Troy (Candace); 5 grandchildren, Bailey, Dayle, Anthony, Arden & Alaric; sister-in-law, Audrey; siblings, Doreen, Willie (Val), Clarence (Betty) & Bernie (Faye); numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Pete & Margaret; & brother, Gordon. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating, with interment in Elk Point East Cemetery, Elk Point. I am saddened by reading the obituary of Ernie Poitras. I had the opportunity and the honor to have worked with Ernie many years ago with H&H Oilfield . We shared many stories (his were the best) and I also learned a lot about the welding trade from Ernie. My condolences to his whole family. The world lost a good man !!!!
