On June 4, 2012, Mrs. Emily Cooknell of St. Paul passed away at the age of 94 years. She is survived by 2 daughters & 1 son, Noella Gabrieau, Sue Pruneau & Wayne (Arlene) Cooknell all of St. Paul; 11 grandchldren, Dwayne (Karen), Marion, Doug, Sharon, Lewis, Mark (Cheryl), Amy (Joel), Ryan, Christopher (Kristin), Chad & Jason; 7 great-grandchildren, Alicia, Brett, Nathaniel, Cy, Shandra, Levi & Brooke; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Emily; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; parents, William John & Mary; 3 sisters, Isabelle Goodwin, Irene Hamlin & Lucy Gagne; brother, Jim Laboucane; & son-in-law, Fred Gabrieau. Funeral Service Thursday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Family Worship Centre, St. Paul. Reverend Duane Grant officiating, with interment in Union Cemetery, St. Paul. Dear Noella, Wayne and Arlene & Susan,
It was quite by accident that we learned of the passing of Aunt Emily. She was a lovely lady, always ready for a visit from ‘long distance family’. All the family of Bill Cooknell will always remember our visits with her and Uncle Ted. The table was filled with wonderful food, your parents always took time to stop the daily chores and have a wonderful chat with all of us. We all have wonderful memories of those times. Although belated, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Please contact us by e-mail to let us know how everyone is.
