Obituary
On May 16, 2015, Mr. Creedence Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 31 years. He is survived by his mother, Donna Cardinal (Jarrod Houle); 3 sisters & 1 brother, Sherry Lee Cardinal (Byron Jackson), Torrie Cardinal, Tannis Cardinal. & Jamie Badger (Kelli Keematch); nieces & nephews, Liam, Levi, Kiesten, Simon Jr., Barry Jr., Tiarra, Kaydence, Sarah & Miley; special friend, Bonnie Steinhauer; many other relatives & friends. He was predeceased by his father, Larry Meetoos; brother, Levi Dee Cardinal; maternal grandparents, Joe Arthur & Ida Cardinal; paternal grandparents, Berti & Violet Meetoos. A Wake will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, May 27 & 28 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Dear Donna, Sherry, Torrie, and Tannis. I cannot find a way to fully express how sad I am about the loss of your son and brother. How can a family be put through more pain then yours has suffered. There are no words, but always know that I think of all of you often and send good prayers your way. You need to know that I included Levi in my master’s thesis as a way to permanently honour and remember him and how he made me a better teacher. He is a strong reminder of what I do and why I do it — to serve all my students to the best of my ability. Please be strong together and love one another — life is so precious and so easily lost — all we have left are the memories and as long as we have those, we must survive.

I am so sorry to hear about Creedence. God promises a resurrection at Acts 24:15 of both the righteous and the unrighteousness. So we hope to see him again when the world is a far better place and we all have a more level playing field. Revelation 21:3 & 4 and Isaiah 65:20-25

I wanted to share a good memory I have of Creedance. Me and Creedance attended a youth event in Hobbema. On our way home we ran into an unexpected event. We were driving along side a train and we eventually passed it by a minute. Creedance was looking at the train tracks and he notice a man laying on the track. We didn’t come to a complete stop, but Creedance jumped out of the truck and pulled the man off the track. He saved the man’s life that day. Creedance will be greatly missed. Love you all and praying.
