Obituary
The life of our dear maman and mémère ended peacefully on January 13, 2016. It is with sadness and gentle relief that her family and friends announce her passing. Maman/mémère was a devoted mother and grand-mother. She was a woman of great faith who lived life simply and with much love for those near and dear to her heart. Mémère showed great strength of character and determination overcoming many hardships in the first half of her life, finding more and more peace, joy and contentment in her latter years. Her love of gardening lasted well into her 80s and she kindheartedly shared her bounty. Cécile also gave freely of her time as an active volunteer as well as giving generously to her church and numerous community organizations and institutions. Cécile loved to sing and had an understated sense of humour. She also loved to socialize and often invited her friends over for tea or dinner and an evening of cards and plenty of laughter. What she loved and cherished most however were the family gatherings. It is still hard to believe that we all squeezed around the family table – but where there is love; there is always room for one more.
Cécile was predeceased by her husband, Edouard Préville. She will be lovingly remembered by her six children: Lowell, Éric, Laurier, Clément, Guy and Marcel; 10 grand-children; 8 great grand-children; her brother, Eugène (Barbara) Blouin and her many friends. Her caring and loving spirit lives on in us each and every day.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all those who administered comfort, kindness and relief and especially the staff and volunteers of Extendicare Saint-Paul. Their personal dedication and affection will always be remembered.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Lived next door on the farm. Remember going to play at your place,the geese and your Mom’s puff wheat squares. Your Mom read the eulogy at my mother’s funeral Elaine Turcotte. Interesting ,your Mom funeral is the day my Mom died. May they meet again. My condolences.

Your Mom was an angel and had such a super sense of humor. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone or anything. She would help anyone. I can still see her pushing someone in a wheelchair who wasn’t that much younger than her. She is a true angel.
