Obituary
On December 22, 2012, Mrs. Anne Hancharuk of Ashmont passed away at the age of 93 years. She is survived by 2 sons & 3 daughters, Howard (Helen) of Grande Prairie, Marian (Nick) Dacyk of Vilna, Jim (Brenda) of St. Paul, Madalyn (Bruce) Johnson of Edmonton & Betty (Alton) Mallock of Floating Stone (Ashmont); 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary Leach of Edmonton, Rose Hanlan of Thunder Bay, ON & Jane Magas of Vegreville. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex; sister, Pearl Victor; parents, Peter & Katherine Spodarek. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Mark Sych officiating with interment in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Spedden. Mrs. Hancharuk supported Haying in the 30's. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's (Cancer Support Society) or a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
