Obituary
On October 16, 2020, Mr. Merle McConnell Sr. of McRae passed away at the age of 49 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel; children, Cheyenne (Rodney), Doc (Rebecca), Sammi-Rae (Alton), Merle Jr. (Deanna), Amy (Russell), Jayce, Lane, Kale (Jasmine) & Myla; 10 grandchildren, Leira, Oaklynn, Kendall, RJ, Annika, Memphis, Phoenix, Rico, Mikka, Justice & 1 grandson on the way; parents, Sam & Linda; siblings, Juanita, Rachael (Jason), Audie, Angie, Brandon & Olivia (Clint); special niece, Karesia; his horse, Custer; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Merle Sr. was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Olive & William; maternal grandparents, Christina Cardinal & Gabriel Boucher; daughter, Raelene Steinhauer; granddaughter, Veronica Poitras; brother-in-law, Stacy Bourque; special bro, Lenny Hunter. A Private Wake & Funeral Service will be held at McRae Hall, McRae. Reverend Robert Wright will be officiating with interment in McRae Cemetery, McRae.
