Obituary
On May 2, 2012, Mr. Armand Laing of St. Paul passed away at the age of 77 years. He is survived by 4 daughters & 2 sons, Carmen (Ron) Oszust of Golden, B.C., Christine (Terry) Veenstra of Fort McMurray, Ginette (Steve) Talley of Fredericksburg, Texas, Josée (Allan) Lapp of Courtice, Ontario, Denis (Cristy) of Calgary, & Blair (Keely) of Bonnyville; very special friend, Adrienne Tessier of St. Paul; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers & 4 sisters, Georges (June), Jeannine (Adrien) Chamberland & Lorraine (Maurice) Dubeau all of St. Paul, Rose (Laurent) Leroux of Edmonton, Bernard (Alexis) of St. Albert, Gerard (Lani) of Okotoks, Denise (Ovide) Hebert of Edmonton, & Albert (Penny) of Hawkesbury, Ontario; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice; parents, Mendoza & Lucienne; granddaughter, Chantal; & 1 brother, Raymond. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier will be the celebrant, with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place on Saturday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Palliative Care Association or Haying in the 30”s Cancer Support Society. C’est avec grande tristesse que j’ai appris le décès d’Armand. Comme enseignant et coordonnateur j’ai bien connu et travaillé avec lui au cours des années. Armand était un homme joyeux, intéressant et intègre. J’ai toujours apprécié ses capacités, sa joie de vivre et sa générosité.
À toute la famille j’offre mes plus sincères condoléances. Que le Seigneur vous apporte consolation et réconfort en ce temps de deuil. Qu’il repose dans la paix de Dieu.
