From: Judith Mirus
Relation: She was my student.

Dear Family of Mary,

I heard about Mary’s death a few days ago.
Very unexpected news. It’s hard to write without knowing you.

But i wanted you to know how much I enjoyed knowing Mary
and working with her. She attended the yoga class I taught for
PHT patients at UAH and the Family Yoga Centre.

She always told me just what she thought; she
always tried everything; she always showed respect, dedication
and enthusiasm along with her spirited independence. She contributed
a lot to her fellow students – by asking questions, being direct
and getting the most out of it.

I think i can speak for everyone in the class, when I say we’re going to miss her a lot. I can only imagine how much you will all miss her.

The last time I saw her she was getting ready to go to BC but
she postponed her trip to come to the last class. I’m glad
I got a hug from her.

Warmest regards and my condolences.

My condolences to your family. Mary often came to my class at Parkdale School. I treasure the memory of her lilting voice….

Mary was a wonderful lady! I really enjoyed my conversations with her. Mary was there for me during some very difficult times. She was intelligent and full of native pride. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She is with the creator now! RIP.

Relation: University friend and more...

Roy, I am so sorry about Mary… I have been thinking lots about her, as I am in touch with people from Saddle lake, so decided to see if she was on fb..I am shocked that she passed away. I had no idea that she was even sick. I have many good memories of her and I was so blessed to know her. I know your heart must be heavy and I send you much peace and healing. May you both be at Peace, know that I really did love her a lot. She was an awesome woman, wicked sense of humour and was as outspoken and direct as I. What a wonderful person and way, way too young to leave this planet so soon. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Roy and family…I am so saddened to hear that Mary has passed. She was a great woman, had a wonderful sense of humour, loved life, spoke her mind, and was direct…everything you could ask for in a friend. I am very surprised that she is gone. I send to you and the family blessings of peace, love and healing. I wish you all well…Mary made an impact on my life and I am so honored that she was a blessing to me… Please take care of yourselves…Namaste, Reta Derkson
