Obituary
On April 8, 2016, Mr. Lester Whelen of Ashmont passed away at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his son, Dale (Betty-Lou); 2 grandchildren, Trevor (Sherol) & Angie (Darren) Pentelichuk; 3 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dawson & Nikki; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Trenten, Ryley & Josh; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his companion of 33 years, Gertie Filgate; daughter, Gail Ward; parents, Bill & Ellen Whelen; brother, Earl Whelen; sisters, Eleanor Lyttle & Dawnie Pike. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Ashmont Agriplex, Ashmont with interment in Fork Lake Cemetery, Fork Lake.
