Christine our apologies this is so tardy. I have not been going to auctions recently, however, there was a sale earlier this summer with spectacular pioneer/primitive items on offer. I searched the crowd looking for Bill’s famous hat shading the neatly trimmed beard and keen, twinkly eyes…..nowhere to be seen. I asked Dave the antique dealer and he gave me the tragic, devastating news. Oh, we are so sorry. We shall forever miss his quiet presence, his generosity of sharing his vast knowledge of primitives and being a really fun person to meet up with and share a good laugh with at the various sales. He was a legend in the trade….his sharp eye for only the very best. Fellow auction goers dreaded bid-tangling with him…he always won! He used to soften the disappointment with a nod of his head to the person who lost out to him-a true gentleman even in the trenches.
Please except our deepest condolences to you Christine and family. We have all lost an exceptional friend and mentor.
