Obituary
An honest heart, hard-working hands & a strong sense of integrity
It is with heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Walter Zukiwsky of Goodridge, AB after almost 81 years of life.
Walter took his first breath in Boyne Lake, AB, and his last in St. Paul, AB.
He was predeceased in 1999 by his loving wife of 42 years, Joyce (née Navrot); as well as all seven of his brothers & sisters (in Dad's words, he was the last “pea in the pod”).
Memories of Wally (Dad/Gido) will be cherished in the hearts of his six children, Matthew (Margaret) Zukiwsky of Cambridge Bay, NU, Holly (John) Cone of Smithville, TX, Cynthia (Kelvin) Knorr of Regina, SK, Natalie Otto of Borden Carleton, PEI, Nathan Zukiwsky of Therien, AB, & Michael (Sherrise) Zukiwsky of Goodridge, AB; and numerous grandchildren.
His absence will also be greatly felt by neighbors, friends, extended family and the many lives he touched along the way.
We would like to acknowledge Dad's dear friend & companion of many years, Lovette Strynadka & her children Wendy & Kevin who brought so much love, support & memories to his life.
The Family will host a Memorial Service at Goodridge Hall, Wednesday, August 26th at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Elk Point Allied Arts Society will be accepted c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. To send condolences online, please visit www.gracegardensfuneralchapel.com.
