Obituary
On September 7, 2019 Mr. Walter Yacyshyn of St. Paul passed away at the age of 65 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Valerie; son, Kevin (Kim) of Okotoks; 4 grandchildren, Kylie, Carter, Cashlyn & Carrera; loving parents, Nick & Olga Yacyshyn of Spedden; siblings, Oksana (Mike) Chimko & Marion (Joanne) both of St. Paul, & Halia (Daniel) St. Arnault of Mallaig; numerous nieces & nephews. Walter was predeceased by his daughter, Carla; & mother-in-law, Laura Hartley. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Very Reverend Father Don Bodnar will be officiating, with private family interment in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Spedden. I went to school in Vilna with Walter; I always loved his big smile, his laugh & sense of humor! I have only met up with Walter at Church events in Spedden and Stry, and he was always as friendly and kind as I remember him back in the 1960s and 1970s! I can almost hear Walter & Sam Boyko “jamming” up in heaven!
