Obituary
On September 29, 2015, Mr. Walter Shankowski of Elk Point, formerly of St. Paul, passed away at the age of 94 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen; 2 sons, Jerry Shankowski of Edmonton & David (Sandra) Shankowski of St. Paul; 3 daughters, Ellen (Metro) Bodnar of Boyne Lake, Sylvia (Bob) McDaniel of Lacombe & Laura (Dennis) Linton of Langley, B.C; 7 grandchildren, Isabella, Savannah, Noah, Thomas, Tanner, Taryn & Karly (Shayne); 2 brothers, Harry (Caroline) Shankowski of Elk Point & Peter (Doris) Shankowski of Edmonton; sister, Mary (Peter) Ference of Vegreville; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nick & Palagia; 2 brothers; Pete (Sophie) Boyko & Bill (Mildred) Boyko; sister, Ann (Ed) Piotrowski. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Mark Sych will be officiating, with interment in Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elk Point.
