Obituary

On January 23, 2014, Violet Nancy Trottier of Frog Lake passed away suddenly at the age of 61 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Moise Paul; 4 sons & 1 daughter, Edward Cardinal (Sharon Jackson) of St. Paul, Les Trottier (Shawn Whitstone) of Onion Lake, Saskatchewan, Vincent Trottier of Frog Lake, William Trottier (Teena Elkow) & Ramona Trottier all of St. Paul; 3 step-sons, Winston Paul (Carla Whitstone) of Onion Lake, Derek Paul of Lloydminster & Burgess (Maxine) Paul of Frog Lake; adopted son, Christopher Abraham; adopted daughter, Adrienna Waskahat; 10 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; adopted mother, Florence of Siksika; brother, Peter Trottier (Sylvia Delver) of Kehewin; 5 sisters, Rachel Gladue of St. Paul, Christina (Julien) Paul & Justine Trottier all of Kehewin, Evelyn Cardinal (Phil Hunter) of Saddle Lake, & Susan (Joe) Quinney of Frog Lake; adopted sisters, Connie Jacknife & Wilma Jacknife both of LeGoff – acknowledging the adoptive Jacknife family; numerous culturally adopted brothers & sisters; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward & Marie Trottier; half-sisters & half-brothers, Delphine Amahoose, Lavina Moosewah, Lawrence Trottier, Thomas Trottier, Victor Trottier & Celeste Trottier. A Wake will be held on Sunday and Monday, January 26 & 27 at Kehewin Cultural Centre, Kehewin. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Kehewin Cultural Centre, Kehewin. Reverend Father Rene Realuyo will be officiating, with interment in Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kehewin.
