On December 5, 2013, Mrs. Violet Jackson of Goodfish Lake passed away at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her loving children, Doris Steinhauer & Verna (Archie) Steinhauer both of Saddle Lake, Mildred Memnook (Melvin Whitford), Ernie Jackson, Hilda Jackson, Emil Jackson, Bernice Jackson (Dirk Seenum), Lorna Jackson (Charlie Cardinal) all of Goodfish Lake, Lester (Shirley) Jackson of Red Pheasant, SK., Jerome Jackson of Edmonton; adopted children, Joey Jackson of Edmonton, Dale Poirier & Melvin Sunday both of Goodfish Lake; 47 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; brother, Harvey Wood; sister, Maggie Houle; step-sisters, Laura Halfe & Charlotte (Robert) Whitford; step-brothers, George Hunter & Phillip Hunter; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bidlock, Elizabeth Sadlowski (Ken Dunega), Bernadette (Ken) Koluk, Theresa Jackson & Marjorie White; brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Dorothy) Jackson & Jerry (Inez) Jackson; uncle, Roy Breast, numerous nieces & nephews in Saddle Lake and Goodfish Lake; many other family members in Saddle Lake. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; special friend, Solomon Favel; children, Zelda Jackson & Harvey Jackson; 2 grandsons, Eric Favel & Rodrick Jackson; sons-in-law, Billy Memnook, Jerry Steinhauer & Jason Logan; sister, Elsie; brother, Lazarus. A Wake will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday, December 10 & 11 at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodfish Lake United Church, Goodfish Lake.
