Obituary
On June 6, 2022, Mr. Vincent “Punch” Clayton Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed at the age of 53 years. He is survived by his partner, Renee Byron; grandson, Tyrese; loving mother, Mariam; 2 brothers & 1 sister, Clinton (May), Reggie (Kimberly) & Jackie Swaren; adopted brothers, Ed (Theresa) Azure, Mike Hart, Mervin McKay, Andy Daniels & Peter Ali. Vincent was predeceased by his daughter, Mariah; father, Noah in 2020; brother, Wayne; paternal grandparents, Lloyd & Emma; maternal grandparents, Edgar & Helen Buffalo. A Viewing will be held on Monday, June 13 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, followed by a Wake (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Pipe Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00 a.m. followed by a Traditional Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with Mr. Mike Hart as the celebrant. I went to school with Punchy and we both sat on Students Union Council in Jr. High. He was intelligent, athletic, good looking, had a great sense of humour and was a nice person as well. I’m so sad to hear he’s done his work on earth. My sincere and deep condolences to you all.
