Obituary
On March 5, 2020, Mrs. Victoria Chapdelaine of Mallaig passed away at the age of 102 years. She is survived by 6 sons, Roger, George, Richard, Leo (Terra), Dennis (Maricel) & Ivan (Yvonne); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; brother, Mike (Jessie) Wrobel; 2 sisters, Roseanne Carlson & Frances Jenkins; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Chapdelaine was predeceased by her husband, Albert; daughter, Therese Hall; 2 sons, Marcel & Victor. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.

I am sorry to read about the passing of your mom. When I moved to Mallaig your mom and dad were probably the first people I met. They were very helpful and supportive. I remember you as a young man in high school. Time has gone by quickly. May all the good memories of your mom help you get through these difficult times. My sincere condolences. My sincere sympathy to all of Victoria’s family & friends on her passing. I met Victoria several times over the years, the last time a few years ago at “Haying in the 30’s” near Mallaig. She was always very pleasant & happy.
I also have met many of her sons & daughter, know many of her grandchildren & great grandchildren. They all thought the world of her.
I watched the video that Morris Chapdelaine did of Victoria just before her 99th birthday. She was an ambitious and hard working woman – just amazing.
May she Rest In Peace.
