Victor TESSIER

April 30, 1946 - February 16, 2021

Obituary

Victor Roger Tessier, the son of Roger Hector & Angela Elise Tessier, born on April 30, 1946, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2021.

Victor, who was from St. Paul, moved to Edmonton after high school in order to attend the sheet-metal apprentice program at N.A.I.T. Victor then began his career at Keelors Sheet Metal, and in 1969 married Jacqueline Doris Charbonneau, also from St. Paul. They had two children, Rachelle Lucille & Serge Roger. In 1978, the family moved back to St. Paul, where Victor joined the family business with his brother-in-law, Richard Charbonneau. Together, they successfully ran East End Rentals & Mobile Homes for many years until they sold the business. Vic then worked for a variety of different businesses in St. Paul until his retirement in 2015.

Victor & Jackie built their dream home on an acreage southeast of town near Roger & Angela’s homestead. Here their numerous family and friends were always welcome. Through the years, Vic enjoyed spending time in his shop and at their Muriel Lake cabin. Fishing & hunting were both important pastimes, as well as quadding, aviation, woodworking, reading, & learning about anything. Everyone who knew Vic enjoyed his home-made smoked salmon & beef jerky.

Grandpa was very proud of his 5 grandkids, Kelsey Jacqueline Kropiniski, Nathan Shawn Kropiniski, Kailey Ann Kropiniski, Logan Jack Tessier & Connor Roger Tessier.

Victor is survived by his mother, Angela Tessier (nee Dallaire); his wife, Jacqueline Tessier (nee Charbonneau); son, Serge Tessier (Tracey Germain); daughter, Rachelle (Ashley) Emerson; sister, Lorraine Samboryk (nee Tessier); brother, Armand Tessier (Donna Kruse); & sister, Viviane Tessier. Surviving him are also Fleurette (nee Charbonneau) & Kim Fluker, Mariette (nee Charbonneau) & Allen Harlton, Richard & Roxanne (nee Paquette) Charbonneau. Surviving nieces & nephews are Paul Samboryk, Jason Tessier, Ryan Tessier, Melissa Ward (nee Tessier), Melina Tessier Fontaine, Sabrina Vander Giessen (nee Harlton), Shauna Charbonneau, Aimee Yakiwchuk (nee Charbonneau), Adam Charbonneau & Markus Fluker.

Victor was predeceased by his father, Roger Tessier; baby sister, Louise; father-in-law, Jacques Charbonneau; mother-in-law, Lucille Charbonneau (nee Malo); brothers-in-law, Jocelyn Charbonneau & Brian Samboryk.

A Private Celebration of Vic’s Life will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, with Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier officiating. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by livestream on Friday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. by clicking the Live Service tab above. A recording of the service will also be made available.
