Obituary
On July 9, 2017, Mr. Trevor Howard Cardinal of Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement, formerly of Goodfish Lake, passed away at the age of 47 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Gail; children, Dylan, Alicia, Nolan & Trevor Jr.; parents, George & Cecilia Cardinal; parents-in-law, Horace & Donna Patenaude; siblings, Carolyn (Calvin) Cook, Michelle (Lorin) Bull, Colleen Cardinal, Sheldon Cardinal (Darla Quinney); sisters-in-law, Shelley (Archie) Handel & Sheila (Hopeton) Spence; brother-in-law, Ashley Patenaude ; nieces & nephews, Kayla, Charmaine, Starlight, Sadie, Brianna, Robbie, Sidney, Lauryn, Ashleigh, David, Ashton, Hannah, Colby, Jalen, Garrett, Cassidy, Shaina, Connor, Braxton, Georgia, Jayanna, Mikhail & Khailen; grandnieces & grandnephews, Landon, Kendrick, Serenity, Easton & Adrianna. Trevor was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph & Rosie Cardinal; maternal grandparents, Gilbert Whitford & Violet Bernard; great-grandparents, Steve & Alice Whitford; & cousin, Davey Croy. A Wake will be held on Thursday & Friday, July 13 & 14 at Buffalo Lake Recreation Centre, Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement (leaving Grace Gardens at 12:00 p.m.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 11:30 a.m. at Buffalo Lake Recreation Centre, Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement. Reverend Father Trini Pinca will be the celebrant with interment in Buffalo Lake Community Cemetery, Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement. Trevor was one of the men that I could look up to and he was one the people that always knew how to make someone smile whenever they’re feeling down and I always enjoyed going to his class everyday. He was father figure to me and he was one of the most respected men I knew and he one of the best dads in the world he made me a better man. But he was a man of his word he wanted to become a teacher and he did that I hope I see you soon
