On May 8, 2014, Sylvia Bassie of St. Paul passed away at the age of 67 years. She is survived by her loving friend & companion, Vianney Girard; son, Shane (Lana) Zawadoski of Vegreville; daughter, Tracy (Jason) Sinclair of St. Paul; step-children, Feleen (Doug), Felice (Bob), Fiona, Rick (Karen), Fern (Alfred) & Francine; 4 grandchildren, Jordan Sinclair, Shayla Lozeau, Tyler Zawadoski & Sophie Engell; step-grandchildren, Wyatt, Travis, Keira, Jayla, Troy, Bryce, Eliott, Elizabeth, Conrad, Marlice & Whitney; 6 sisters & 2 brothers, Ann Serediak of Stony Plain, Bill (Gail) Mudryk & Olga (Bob) McCormack all of Calgary, Don (Paulette) Mudryk, Diane (Bob) Chretien, Florence Kiss & Delores (Jerry) Girard all of St. Paul & Suzie (Dana) Gabriel of Fort McMurray; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Bassie; parents, Steve & Nancy Mudryk; 3 sisters, Mary, Shirley & Rose; step-son, Franklin. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul Senior’s Centre, St. Paul, with Pastor Norm officiating. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's Cancer Support Society or St. Paul Palliative Care Association c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
