Obituary
On May 15, 2014 Mrs. Sophie Farus (née Tocheniuk) of St. Paul, formerly of Glendon & Vilna, passed away at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her loving brother & 3 sisters, Steve (Bev) Tocheniuk of Calgary, Nancy Tocheniuk, Mary Tocheniuk & Rose (Bill) Hruschak all of Edmonton; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex “A.J.” Farus; parents, Milko & Kateryna Tocheniuk; 2 brothers, John & Peter Tocheniuk; 3 sisters, Helen Machura, Pearl Tkachuk & Anne Fedirchuk. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Glendon. Reverend Father Mark Sych will be the celebrant with interment in the church cemetery, Glendon. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB.
