Obituary

On June 13, 2021, Mr. Lawrence Scheffelmiar of St. Paul passed away at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his children, Judith Ann (Larry) Henderson, Dennis Wayne (Tammy) & Rhonda Lee (Chris) Beamish; 2 grandchildren, Anna Marie (Denis) Mailloux & Lawrence Wayne (Rachel) Scheffelmiar; 6 great-grandchildren, Gideon, Jeremiah, Gabriella, Judah, Alexander & Adam. Mr. Scheffelmiar was predeceased by his loving wife, Maxine; parents, Fred & Annie; & his siblings. Lawrence started his career as a Police officer in Lacombe. He then became a Fish & Wildlife officer and served the Lac La Biche, Pincher Creek & St. Paul areas. His ventures continued as he became an owner/partner of the Car-Ouells Construction company that built the St. Paul U.F.O. Landing Pad in 1967. He enjoyed his final years as a farmer/rancher on his farm, Anchor 3 Cattle Company, in the St. Paul area. Lawrence loved socializing & was a great story teller. His love of music brought him great pleasure, especially when he could show off his vocals to the “Cattle Call” song that he loved.
