Obituary
On June 9, 2019 Mrs. Ruth Rocha Holosh passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years, surrounded by her loving daughters. She is survived by her children, Ruth Maria (Craig) Sharun, Martha Holosh & Vera Lucia Holosh; 8 grandchildren, Christina, Michelle (Aaron), Alessandra (Michael), Sara, Jared, Juliana, Daniel & Matthew; sister-in-law, Zeza Rocha. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Alex Holosh; as well as her siblings, Carmosina, Maria Alice (Bernardo), Yolanda, Abel & José (Delma). A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier will be the celebrant, with inurnment at 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Edmonton. Auntie Ruth,
You took care of me from when I started kindergarten till I had to leave in grade 4. In those years, you loved me and cared for me like no one ever had. You are the kindest person and have the biggest heart. I have fond memories of you walking me to school when I was so young and new to Canada, the amazing food you would prepare every day for your family, and spending time in the kitchen with Uncle Alex. To this day I am still looking for potato cakes and cabbage rolls that taste as good as yours. Though I have not been in contact for so long, you have always been in my thoughts and actions my whole life.
Vera, Martha, Ruth; I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was an amazing person and I loved her so much. She will forever be in my memories.
