Obituary
On Sunday, August 31, Mr. Rene Guilbault passed away at his home at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Gilberte Guilbault (nee Vallee); 3 sons, Raymond (Cindy) of Mallaig, Real (Debbie) of Brooks & Andre (Irene) of Wainwright; 4 daughters, Joanne (Paul) Gervais of St. Albert, Jocelyne (Art) Gervais of Fahler, Cecile (Gerald) Mathiot of Goodridge & Janet (Glen) Dumont of Fahler; 24 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, George & Agnes; 3 brothers, Louis, Albert & Hector; sister, Evelyn; & son-in-law, Emil Starosielski. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jean de Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, Mallaig. Reverend Father Dario Abram will be the celebrant, with cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. I personally remember the summer that Janet and I were together being goofy teens, Mr Guilbault would try and give us heck but would turn around and laugh at what ever antics we were up too. He sure loved his whole family. He will be sadly missed.
