Obituary

On November 8, 2021, Mrs. Phyllis Smith of Edmonton, formerly of Boscombe, passed away at the age of 62 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Randy; son, Ken; daughter, Amanda (Darryl) Mortensen; grandson, Cooper Mortensen; father-in-law, Clarence; 2 brothers, Norman Poholka (Lorraine) & Marvin Bentley; 3 sisters, Lorna (Victor) Gorak, Florance (Tom) Jensen & Lorraine Goddard; sisters-in-law, Nora Poholka, Dawn Tucker & Carey Kennedy; brother-in-law, Wayne Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by her mother, Anne Bentley (Poholka); father, Samuel Ledson Bentley; 2 brothers, Fred Bentley & Herb Poholka; granddaughter, Jessica Morgan; mother-in-law, Blanche Smith. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating with inurnment in Willow Grove Cemetery, Owlseye. Cremation has taken place. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by Livestream on Friday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. by clicking the Live Service tab above. Phyllis…YOU are one of a kind and the BEST Auntie and friend. My kids are truly blessed to have had you in their lives!! You will be missed terribly, love ya! Although we lost touch the last few years, the memories made will last a lifetime and you and your family will always hold a special place in my heart.

Your service was beautiful and a true reflection of what an amazing person that you were and how many lives are better because of you. Randy, Ken, Amanda…my heart aches for you all, but please know that you have been and always will be in our prayers.
