Obituary
On May 24, 2015, Mr. Peter Habiak of Vilna passed away at the age of 78 years. He is survived by 2 daughters & 1 son, Tammy (Eddy) Huk of Vilna, Peter (Cathy) Habiak of Edmonton & Cathy Habiak (Steve Klassen) of Vilna; 7 grandchildren, Nicole, Jenna, Gregory, Kayla, Alexandra, Eric & Kaylee; 2 sisters, Olga Predy of Smoky Lake & Kay Nichols of Fort Saskatchewan; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Jenny; parents, William & Katerina; 2 sisters, Anne Doshewnek & Patricia Habiak. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Ashmont Agriplex, Ashmont. Reverend Father Mark Sych will be officiating, with interment in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Vilna. So sorry to hear about the sudden passing of your father/grandfather. I have fond memories of visiting your dad and his parents on the farm with my Dido and Baba Habiak when I was young. I remember him visiting Elk Point on many occasions and especially one time when he came to Auny Mary Bochon’s to introduce his fiancée , your mom. He was so nervous but very happy. When my dad passed on, he kindly helped take the fall crop in. We were very grateful for his help. He will be forever remembered as a kind man, who loved to visit family and friendsand share stories and love for his family.
He will be missed
