Obituary
On November 8, 2019, Mr. Paul Zacharko of Waskatenau passed away at the age of 86 years. He is lovingly remembered by 2 sisters, Olga Kolybaba & Joyce (Ed) Karvonen; numerous nieces & nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Nick & Ann Zacharko; 2 infant brothers, Michael & John; brothers-in-law, Raymond Andrusiak & Metro Kolybaba. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Waskatenau Community Centre, Waskatenau. Father Michael Maranchuk will be officiating, with interment in St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Waskatenau. If desired, donations may be made to Radway Continuing Care Centre – Auxiliary Association c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. Dearest Paul, we are going to miss you so much.A piece of our hearts have gone with you.To Olga, Joyce and families, we pray for comfort for you all.Paul was very special to us all, especially to me.He was the big brother that I never had as I was growing up. Sister June and I would give him the dickens when he “christened” his gravel truck while working on it at mom and dad`s.He was so loved by all and sure will miss his laugh and his kind heart. Dear Joyce and Family,
Paul and Dad (Fred) were partners in crime. I don’t think there was an auction they didn’t go to or a card game at Pepper’s they didn’t play in. Paul was one of Dad’s closest friends. He always had a kind hello for all of us and would chat it up whenever any of us happened to bump into him. We all say that they (Fred and Paul) are back at a card table playing crib or smear and laughing it up. So no tears; they are doing just fine.
