Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Orest “Doe” Dubelt of Myrnam announces his sudden passing on December 30, 2020 at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy; 2 sons & 1 daughter, Sean (Michelle), Shannon (Ray) Hopper & Patrick (Jo-Ann); 11 grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Reece, Kole, Ryley, Daniel, Lucas, Taylor, Sydney, Devyn & Maddisyn; 4 great-grandchildren, Charlee, Parker, Oaklynn & Rhett; 2 brothers, Dennis & David; numerous cousins & other relatives. Orest was predeceased by his parents, Anton & Mildred. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul with Reverend Father Peter Haugen officiating. Cremation to follow and a Celebration of Orest’s Life will be held at a later date with inurnment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Myrnam. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by Livestream on Friday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. by clicking the Live Service link above. A recording of the service will also be made available. Orest and I were on the Myrnam School staff for two years. During that time I knew him to be serious, professional and well-organized. Then one day he came into the staff room carrying one of his grandchildren in his arms. I saw a whole different Orest! He positively ‘lit up’ with that child. The transformation was incredible. He loved his family more than words can say! My condolences to you.
