Obituary

On July 21, 2013 Mr. Nick G. Shulko of Smoky Lake, formerly of Andrew, passed away at the age of 82 years. He is survived by 2 daughters & 1 son, Louise Shulko of Edmonton, Sharon (Steve) Przekop of Smoky Lake & Rick (Darlene) Shulko of Edmonton; grandson, Dallas (Jodi) Przekop; 2 great-grandchildren, Kali & Kadan Przekop; 4 brothers, John (Lucy) of Smoky Lake, Peter (Christine) of Fort Saskatchewan, Mike (Josie) of St. Albert & Ernie (Judy) of Andrew; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Mykytiuk of Smoky Lake & Julia Bogdan of Edmonton; brother-in-law, Mike Ratchuk of Smoky Lake; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy; parents, George & Anna; son-in-law, Doug Page; step-granddaughter, Lisa Salter; & sister, Gladys (Steve) Krawchuk. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pokrova Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Edwand. Reverend Father Benny Ambrosie will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. Nick was so very proud of his family, he spoke very highly of all of you.He was truly a man with a heart of gold. Nick was a very special man in my heart, Nick had a wonderful sense of humor, I will treasure all the days I had being his caregiver. May Nick rest in peace with his DEAR wife Nancy. Amen.
