Obituary
On September 1, 2017, Natalie Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 50 years. Natalie is survived by 4 daughters & 1 son, Shelly, John, Heather (Hector Mendoza), Kalina (Steven Underwood) & Shiera; 7 grandchildren, Tatianna, Tacita, Trinity, Xachery, Kayl, Fantasia & Anton; father, Donald (Cary) Northwest; 2 brothers, Darrell (Eliza) & Randy (Roberta); 2 stepbrothers & 3 stepsisters, Tyrone, Reina, Shawn, Skyla & Aspen; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. Natalie was predeceased by her mother, Charlotte Anne; stepdad, Gerald Gauthier; brother, Gerald Cardinal; father of her children, Robert Nelson Wanuch; & son-in-law, Jason Ditchburn. A Wake will be held on Thursday, September 7 (leaving Grace Gardens at 12:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake, with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake. Relation: Gerald Cardinal was my father, making me Natalies niece.
Natalie Cardinal was a aunt to me. I didn’t get to spend much time with her but the times I have were unforgettable. She was always to nice, happy, stern when she needed to be. Natalie was was a wonderful person who fought bravely for herself and her family. She was really a one of a kind woman. Powerful in her own way. Natalie will be loved and missed by many.
